Grand Goals - The Magic of a Powerful Personal Vision

Joe Dispenza Quote for Blog Thoughts are Powerful.jpg

Do you have a powerful vision for your life and dreams? Are you aware that with conscious and consistent intention and habits, you can actually instill that vision into your brain? You can, through the power of thought, physically set up the neural pathways for the life you want before you are actually even living it! Neuroscience has proven this to be true. Once that vision is installed, your whole mind, body and spirit begins to find way to make your outside life match your inside thoughts. You can be the sculptor of your life.

Dr. Joe Dispenza does a remarkable job of describing the steps to transform your life in this video. With humor, and a low-key, compelling narrative, Dispenza lays out the simple, proven pathway to begin creating all that you want in your life. I have to admit, as soon as he starts describing the way most people start their days and live their lives I start to chuckle; I totally see myself in this section! By the end of the video, I am always filled with excitement and feel empowered to elaborate on all of my dreams and wishes.

Transform Your Thoughts to Transform Your Life

The one key thing Dispenza recommends is hacking into our habits, beliefs and complacency by consistently acquiring new knowledge and information. We have to think differently, to feel differently, so we act differently, which produces different results which circles back to make us think differently, and feel differently, etc. This is how we break out of the ‘boxes’ we have created for ourselves with well worn - perhaps not the most resourceful - neural networks built by our past experiences, perceptions and attitudes. We literally ‘run the same programs’ over and over again and, as Dispenza states in the video, we somehow secretly expect different results!

Add: Dreams, Desires and Goals

I have learned that it is also expansive to have an ever-growing idea of our goals and dreams. This is what I think of as having Grand Goals. It is fun to have a bunch of grand goals all over the place and in every area of our lives because it makes life expansive, rich and fulfilling. I like to have fitness goals, academic goals, fun goals, financial goals, adventure goals, and the list goes on. I read, write, edit and review these goals consistently to keep the neurons ‘firing and wiring’ around my dreams and ideas. I can almost see my brain and nervous system at work, building neural pathways and getting me ready on all levels for my personal vision to come true! I find this to be one of my most powerful habits of happiness.
